Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus Airport

The clerk at the front desk ruined my last day of 10 years of life in the United States on the Christmas eve. 1. I checked in with eight luggage to move back to my country. I asked the person at the front desk if they can call anywhere to find the cart. The clerk did not try to help or even pretend to help us and went there is nowhere to call or ask. 2. This person gave us the room at the end of the hallway. The room had weired smell and no electricity. I had to go to the front desk again because even the phone didn’t work. The clerk said there are so many people “like you” and this person knows what happened and asked us “just turn on the switch”. I and my husband had to go back and forth to double check. After asked again, this person found the room actually had no electricity. The person finally changed the room with no smells and had electricity even though the person said no room available previously. 3 Like I said, it is Christmas eve and the last day of being in US. I had a lot of mixed feeling, but now thanks to this hotel, I really want to go back to my country. This people never like me. Thanks for ruining my last day.

The fact that this hotel is almost double the price of other hotels on Airport grounds is crazy. What makes you think that people will pay more to stay at your hotel. Columbus Airport isn't New York where the airport itself generates thousands of passengers every day. Most people just want a clean room. People just stay at Hampton or Hilton Garden Inn.

I only interacted with staff twice, at check-in and check-out. They were friendly. Room was spacious and comfortable. Great location. Close to shops and restaurants. Easy location for online food delivery services to find. Shower was very relaxing. Body wash, shampoo and conditioner all provided in dispensers attached to the wall. Minimal noise considering the location. Gym was well equipped and modern with plenty of equipment. There are quiet hours and for the most part, guests were respectful of the posted hours. Free parking. The hotel was clean

Convenient location for those traveling through CMH airport. The hotel was clean and modern. The complimentary breakfast had a great selection of hot food. The lobby area had plenty of seating. The front desk staff were kind and helpful. The 4th floor sprinklers broke and were leaking from the ceiling in the hallway, but the staff immediately responded and started resolving the issue.

LOVED IT!! Runway view was awesome. Close to downtown, can walk to airport terminals, airport restaurant. Staff was nice. They need to mark the shuttle better that's says Fairfield Marriot but also needs Residence Marriot to avoid confusion. I'll definitely go back there, good times. The rate was very good also . Nice bathroom & room.

Why 4 stars. They dont have a restaurant "in" the hotel. There is food restaurant in an at an ajacent hotel next to them but that hotel food is way over priced for the quality. There is a Mcdonalds next door, too, but ummm, can we say we dont need the mcs%$ over a weekend trip, lol? However, I will say the Residence Hotel has a shuttle driver that will drive you to a small radius of a food restaurant you would like to go. (Dont forget to tip him/her) they also have a program with Door Dash to deliver food for free, so Im sure that is how the hotel accommodate the no restaurant. You can order from a grocery store and cook your own food in your kitchen they have with some of the rooms. Staff is great! Perfect friendly! Laundry room $2.50 wash $2.50 dry. Fabulous workout room 24/7 with lifetime fitness machines. Pool is fabulous indoor open until 10 pm. Also there is a bus route 7 in front of the hotel. This takes you downtown. Weekdays, it seems to run every 30 mins. Weekends every 1 hour. Note be aware that there are 2 number 7 routes. Look to see if downtown or another location.
